He belongs to the group “Nova Narrativa Galega”, which renewed Galician prose from 1950 to 1980. In 1958, via the intellectual Ramón Piñeiro and the exiled professor Ramón Martínez López, he went to the US to teach at Syracuse University (State of New York), where he remained until 1964.
