Center created in New York City in 1937 or 1938 (depending on the sources) by the Spaniards who supported the Franco side during the Spanish Civil War. Its creation was promoted by Juan Francisco de Cárdenas, who had been ambassador of Spain with the Republic and became the representative of the Francoist Government during the war.
